In 2020, California expanded access to the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC) and Young Child Tax Credit (YCTC) to tax filers with an ITIN number.
These cash back tax credits can put money in your pocket and the amounts will vary depending on your income and family size:
- Individuals can get up to $302
- If you have any children or dependents, you can get more. If you have one child, you can get up to $2,016. Larger families qualify for more.
- If your children are younger than 6 years old, you may get up to an additional $1,189 from the Young Child Tax Credit.
